My biking record is broken

Thursday  30 April

I broke my biking record today. My last record from last summer was 39min and 45 seconds.
Today I got 38min & 28 seconds.
There are some reasons for this achievement:

  • Today I was at home as I work 3 days per week because of  Covid-19
  • I had 3 eggs for lunch and an afternoon nap for one hour before biking.
  • Inflated  115 psi rear tire and 90 Psi front tire.

I purchased a Dewalt 20V MAX* CORDLESS AIR INFLATOR originally anticipated using it for bike tires, fortunately, I was surprised to see that it is very useful for topping off tires. I wasn't able to put 80 PSI on my tire before having this amazing tool.  Being able to set a pressure to inflate as nice as the inflator cuts off when it reaches the set pressure.

Biking with Fardis and Pizza Night

When I woke up I made Halim which is one of the best kinds of Persian breakfast.
But my Halim is not a real Halim. It just looks like Halim but it is enough for me to make some nostalgia.
After breakfast, I opened my laptop and began to work on my project, but Fardis had a dilemma: to work or not to work.
So I persuaded her not to work, so then we can spend time together.
First, we watched a movie, it was a good time to watch whatever we wanted since Ara was still asleep.
After watching the movie we went outside to bike.

We went to the Coquitlams river bike root.
It was a little cold.
That Afternoon
First I made the dough for pizza.
Today I added more water and 1 tablespoon of yeast.

6 Cup Flour
2Tb spoon sugar
1 Tb spoon Yeast
2 3/4 cup water
1 1/2 Tb spoon olive oil
1Ts salt

This recipe is good for 3 large pizza and one big Barbary bread for tomorrow morning.

Covid-19 creates this opportunity to spend more time with my family and to make pizza. I always dreamed of making homemade pizza with my family. Yes, COVID-19 has downs but also has ups. Now I lived up to my dream, making pizza every other week with Fardis and Ara, not only enjoying the pizza but the time I get to spend with them now.

Flowers for the balcony

Today after working on my project I went out for my regular bike ride, which is Barnet highway.
32 km there and back.
Sometimes when I go biking, I see a group of people who watch the small stream of water. Today, I went and checked it out.
There was a beaver in the stream.
I was very close to reaching my record. 40 min and 28 seconds.

When I was close to home, I called Fardis and asked her if you are ready to go to Rona, to buy some flowers for our balcony. She was at  Lafarge lake, doing her daily dose of walking, meaning that I have to go home and take our car to pick her up. Meanwhile, I called Ara, asking her if she would like to join Fardis and me at Rona to buy flowers. Surprisingly, Ara said she would join, which is a huge shocker since shes practically self-isolated herself to the world, just to be on "Tik Tok"!
I put my bike in the bike room and waited for Ara to come down and bring the car keys, which is perfect because I saved up to 10 minutes and two travels with the elevator.
After picked Fardis up, we went Rona, I haven't seen Rona this crowded before.
We bought 3 Geranium and 2 of  Ranunculus.
So this is my project for this afternoon, "plant the flowers in the pots".
while I was planting the flowers I decided to change the soil, I had to go to the storage room for the soil, meaning more traveling in the elevator in this Corona situation.
